Plain-English summary: we collect the details you send us to give you an estimate and show up at the right address. We don't sell your information, we don't share it for advertising, and you can ask us to delete it.
01What we collect
- What you give us: your name, phone number, email address, service address or town, and the description and photos of the items you want removed.
- Job records: estimate and final amount, date of service, payment method type, and notes our crew makes about access or scope. Card numbers are handled by our payment processor — we don't store them.
- Messages: the texts, emails, and voicemails you exchange with us.
- Basic technical data: if you use the Site, our host may log standard information such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and referring page, for security and traffic analysis.
We don't ask for and don't want sensitive information such as Social Security numbers, financial account credentials, or health records. Please don't send them.
02How we use it
- To prepare and send your estimate, and to ask follow-up questions about the job.
- To schedule the pickup, get the truck to the right place, and update you on arrival.
- To take payment, issue receipts, and keep our own business records.
- To answer questions, handle a complaint, or follow up after the job.
- To meet legal, tax, insurance, and disposal-documentation obligations.
- To improve the Site and understand which of our service pages people actually use.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we do not build advertising profiles from it.
03Texts and calls
If you give us your number, we may call or text you about your estimate and your job. Carrier message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts, or just tell us. We don't send marketing blasts, and we don't share your number with anyone for their own marketing.
04Who we share it with
We never sell your personal information. We share it only where it's needed to run the business:
- Service providers who work on our behalf — website and form hosting, payment processing, scheduling and invoicing tools, and email. They may only use it to provide their service to us.
- Disposal, recycling, and donation partners, and only what's necessary — typically the material type, not your personal details.
- Legal and safety — when required by law, subpoena, or regulator, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our customers, our crew, or the public.
- A business transfer — if the business is sold or reorganized, customer records may transfer as part of it, subject to this policy.
05Cookies and site analytics
The Site is intentionally simple. It uses only what's needed to load the page, deliver form submissions, and keep the form free of spam. If we later add analytics or advertising tools, we'll update this policy first and name them here. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings; the Site will still work.
06Photos you send us
Photos you send help us estimate accurately. We may keep them with your job record. We will not post a photo of your home, your address, or anything identifying it publicly without asking you first. If you'd rather we didn't keep them at all, tell us and we'll delete them once the job is done.
07How long we keep it
We keep estimate requests that don't become jobs for up to two years, in case you come back. Completed job records — including invoices and disposal documentation — are kept as long as our tax, insurance, and legal obligations require, typically seven years. After that we delete or anonymize them.
08Your choices
You can ask us to: tell you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop contacting you. Email info@grabmyjunk.org or call 470-205-9321 and we'll take care of it, normally within 30 days. We may need to verify who you are first, and we may keep records the law requires us to keep. Asking us to delete your information doesn't cost you anything and won't affect the service you get.
09Security
We limit access to customer information to the people who need it to do the job, use reputable providers, and serve the Site over an encrypted connection. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security — but if a breach ever affected your information, we'd tell you promptly.
10Children
Our services are for adults, and the Site is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
11Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we'll post the revised policy here with a new effective date. Material changes will be summarized at the top so you don't have to reread the whole thing.
