How it actually goes
A hot tub is not a junk pickup, it is a demolition job. The shell is fiberglass, the cabinet is soaked, the cover weighs more than it looks and none of it fits through a gate in one piece.
We cut the shell into sections on site, pull the pump and heater, load every piece and sweep the pad clean. Most tubs take us two to three hours from start to empty pad.
Before we get there
Drain the tub if you can and have the power cut at the breaker. If it is hard-wired, we will disconnect at the tub — we just do not touch the panel.

Do I need to drain the hot tub first?
It helps a lot and keeps your cost down, but if you cannot get it drained tell us and we will plan for it.
Will you have to take the fence down?
Rarely. We cut the shell down small enough to carry through a standard gate. If access is genuinely impossible we will say so during the estimate, not after.
Can you remove the deck around the tub too?
Yes — decking, steps, skirting and gazebos can all go in the same visit.
How long does hot tub removal take?
Most tubs are two to three hours. A swim spa or a tub inside a built deck can run longer; the estimate accounts for it.
Do you disconnect the electrical?
We disconnect at the tub end. Anything at the breaker panel should be handled by an electrician first.
