How it actually goes
Appliances are heavy, awkward and full of metal — which is exactly why you should not be dragging one down basement stairs on a hand truck. We disconnect what is safe to disconnect, get it out of the house and haul it off.
Metal appliances go to a scrap recycler rather than the landfill, and refrigerant-bearing units are handled the way the EPA expects.
We handle the disconnect
We can unhook a standard water line, dryer vent or plug. We do not cut gas lines or hard-wired electrical — if it needs a plumber or electrician first, we will tell you straight away.

Appliance Removal questions
Do you take refrigerators and freezers?
Yes. Refrigerant units are handled properly and the metal is recycled. Please empty and defrost it beforehand if you can.
Can you get a washer and dryer out of a basement?
Yes, and stairs do not change your price. We bring straps and appliance dollies for exactly this.
Do you remove water heaters?
We do. If it is still connected to gas or hard-wired, have it disconnected first — then we handle the rest.
Where do the appliances go?
Working units go to donation where a partner will take them; everything else goes to a metal recycler. Very little of an appliance actually needs a landfill.
Can you take just one appliance?
Yes. Single-item pickups are a normal call and priced accordingly.
